Universities & Colleges / Specialty Schools / ESL Schools

The 2 main Universities are UBC & SFU. Both offer a large range of undergraduate and post graduate degree programs. UBC is the largest of the 2. Which university you pick, depends largely on your field of interest. Both universities have residential housing available on campus. Trinity is a Christian institution specializing mainly in theology but also offering courses and degree programs in some other subjects. There are various colleges, some of which will give you the first couple of years towards your degree and can be cheaper than the 2 major institutions. The largest technical college is BCIT where you can obtain training in some of the more practical career oriented subjects. Their programs generally run for 2 years. My girlfriend teaches Environmental Chemistry there, actually.
